We all may not be artists, but we all can support the arts. For our Wave of Change Campaign this month we are supporting the arts by donating to Orange County Children’s Therapeutic Arts and attending the Pageant of the Masters. We invite you to donate too and enter to win a chance to join us at the Pageant on Monday August 23rd!
Pageant of the Masters
One of the many privileges of living in Laguna Beach is the annual tradition of the Pageant of the Masters. The Pageant has amazed audiences with the magic of tableaux vivants (“living pictures”) for almost 9 decades! With a new theme every year, narrated and set to music, classical and contemporary works of art are recreated by real people who are made to look nearly identical to the originals through the clever application of costumes, makeup, headdresses, lighting, props, and backdrops. Then lighting magically transforms these living works of art in 2d! The first Festival of Arts was produced in 1932, and the first presentation of the Pageant was done in 1933. Since then, the two events have been held every summer, except for a 4-year interruption during World War II & in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s back this summer and we are going! We want to invite you!

OCCTA is a community- based organization committed to providing access to services for all families either impacted by physical, cognitive, language, social, emotional disabilities, or that are at risk. OCCTAC’s mission is to provide innovative, artistic, educational, and therapeutic programs that transform and inspire children, at-promise youth, and families to fulfill their highest potential in life.

- We will be collecting supplies at our office in Laguna Beach for the month of August on weekdays between 9-5.
