Josh Diaz

Josh is an experienced attorney and former executive who is deeply committed to helping his clients navigate complex legal and institutional challenges. He brings a rare combination of litigation skill, in-house counsel experience, and operational leadership in the education sector.

Education and Honors

Josh earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was the inaugural recipient of the Ray Kawano Golf Scholarship. He went on to graduate from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. While in law school, Josh worked in the LA City Attorney’s Office where he had the privilege of handling matters involving the LAUSD.
 

Career and Practice Focus

Josh began his legal career in private practice. At two respected Southern California law firms, he developed extensive experience in defense litigation and transactional work for corporate clients. Josh later transitioned fully into private education, serving in leadership roles including General Counsel and President of an education enrichment organization.
 
Today, Josh focuses his practice on education law in matters involving:
 
  • Private and public school disputes
  • Disciplinary proceedings
  • Title IX investigations
  • Education institution formation, operations and best practice guidance
  • Student athlete representation and athletic program best practice
 
Josh’s combined legal and operational experience gives him a unique perspective on how schools function internally, allowing him to pursue efficient, result driven outcomes.
